How To Eat Healthily

Most people would like to eat more healthily.

Eating healthy food is not only more enjoyable, but you will feel a lot fitter and happier as well.

One of the main aims of eating healthily is to eat food with less cholesterol.
This clogs your arteries and because of this raises your blood pressure.
It is also bad for your heart and can lead to heart disease.

Eating more fish that are high in omega 3 will help keep your cholesterol low.
Salmon and sardines have high quantities of omega 3 and they should be on your menu at least once a week.

Make sure you do not fry fish if you buy it fresh. It is better for you if you bake it.

Try and avoid red meat. Eat chicken or turkey instead, or better still tuna.

Try using olive oil to cook with instead of cooking oil. You can also use this on
bread instead of butter.

Eating food with high fibre content is also a good idea. This helps lower your cholesterol.

Try eating porridge oats for breakfast each day. This is a great weapon to lower your cholesterol.

Drink at least 500mls of cranberry juice each week.

Cranberry is another food that is very good at reducing your cholesterol.

If you buy cranberry juice, make sure that it does not contain a lot of sugar. Buy an unsweetened drink as it will have less calories.

Blueberries are also low in cholesterol, so try and buy some to eat or buy it as a juice to drink.

If you eat low cholesterol foods this will also help to keep your weight down and you will feel better for it.

Eating healthily is good fun, because there are so many great foods you can eat, and you will keep fitter as well.
